Sleeping Lady Lodgings are based just 8 km from Raglan Township in Whale Bay at the foothills of Mount Karioi, surrounded by world famous surf breaks & stunning native bush. Sleeping Lady offers romantic coastal accommodation with 6 luxury seaside holiday houses and exclusive accommodation on the Raglan harbour on board the Wahinemoe deluxe house boat, perfect for special occasion’s such as wedding’s &honeymoons. Larger groups of family and friends that wish to stay together can also be accommodated with share facility and campervan accommodation for up to 80 people at the Karioi Lodge set on a 110 acre nature reserve in Whale Bay.

Wahinemoe Luxury Houseboat Floatel

The newly launched Wahinemoe luxury houseboat, sleeps up to 10 people with private accommodation and full use of the boats facilities at an exclusive mooring in the Raglan Harbour. With a deluxe interior cabin, outdoor spa bath and large king size bed this romantic accommodation option out on the water makes an ideal setting for honeymoon or wedding accommodation.

Start your journey with a memorable and fun 2hr sunset harbour cruise where you’ll be the VIP guests at the captains table with bubbles and nibbles included. On return to the wharf once the passengers have disembarked, you’ll be taken to a safe overnight anchorage in one of the harbours many nooks and crannies. You’ll have full use of the boat, including kayaks until 1pm the following day when the skipper will return to bring you back to shore.

For passengers who have booked the floatel for more than one night, the skipper will return each day at 2pm to bring you to shore so that you can explore Raglan while the Daily Sunset Cruise operates. You can then re-board the Wahinemoe at 8pm to be taken back out on the harbour to find yet another beautiful mooring spot.

The Floatel sleeps up to 10 people comfortably. The main cabin sleeps 4 with one king size bed. There are 8 single beds in the area below the main cabin.

The cost is $499 per night for 1-2 people. Extra people up to 10 people costs $150 per person.

This rate includes a 2hr sunset cruise with bubbles and nibbles.

Karioi Lodge

The Karioi Lodge is pefect for small and large groups of wedding/special occassion guests and is set on a 100 acre nature reserve just up the road from the Whale Bay surf – especially great for small and large groups who want to stay together in the same place as it sleeps up to 75 people in the main lodge plus those that the 8 powered campervan sites accommodate. There are 4 separate blocks of accommodation each with 5 rooms. All bedding linen & pillows are supplied. Full kitchen and bathroom share facilities.

Karioi Lodge guests can enjoy bush walks, surfing, spectacular sunset look outs, perma-culture gardens, galaxies of glowworms, steamy saunas, WIFI Internet, mountain bike hire, pool table, darts and loads more!

Sleeping Lady Lodging’s guests receive awesome Raglan activities at discounted rates since we are also the home of the Raglan Surf School and Raglan Boat Charters. Office Hours & Location

Our office hours are 9am-3pm in the winter (April-October) and 8am-7pm (November-March). The office in Whale Bay is located at the Karioi Lodge which is within walking distance of all our Whale Bay lodges.

Directions to the Karioi Lodge and Sleeping Lady Lodgings office are as follows… From Bow Street, the main street of Raglan Township turn left onto Wainui Rd. Drive 8km to Whale Bay . In Raglan Town, turn left onto Wainui Rd. Drive 8km to Whale Bay. You come to a roundabout, turn left on to Whaanga Rd. The entrance to the Karioi Lodge & Outdoor Centre is the second drive on the left, number 5b (Home of Raglan Surf School). Please pass the complex at the bottom of the driveway until you come to a car park on the left hand side. The office is located a short stroll away (300 meters) at the top of this drive.
