Water sports

Raglan is surrounded by water so getting wet on your stay is a must. Take a surf lesson and learn to ride the breakers that Raglan is so famous for. Cruise the harbour by kayak, give kite boarding a go or simply dip your toes in the ocean and enjoy a paddle.

Boating

Raglan’s a great place for boaties. There are three main launching sites – Manu Bay, Kopua Domain or from the wharf at Wallis Street. For more information on boating rules in the Whaingaroa Harbour check out this website: www.ew.govt.nz/navigation

Get active

There’s lots of great walking tracks in and around Raglan. Or you could explore the beautiful, natural environment by kayak, bike or horseback. Raglan is also a great place to fish, take the boat out or play a round of golf.

Golf

Fishing

Fish for your supper! Throw a line from the wharf at Wallis Street or try your luck from the jetty at the end of Bow Street. If nothing’s biting there’s plenty of fish and chip shops in town!

Cycling & Mountain Biking

See more of Raglan and the surrounding area by bike. Bike2Bay has road and mountain bikes for hire and also offers a full repair service. Phone 07 825 0556. You can pick up a free Raglan Cycle Map from the Whaingaroa Environment Centre located in the Town Hall building on Bow Street. Head off road and explore Raglan’s new mountain bike trails. Accessible from Maungatawhiri Road, Opotoru Road (over the causeway) and Bensemen Road.

Hit the skatepark at the Kopua Domain.
