Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Pakoka Valley – 6km with views of Aotea harbour and a natural limestone arch in the valley below Bridal Veil – bring lunch.

Wed 23 May
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Opotoru causeway and waterfalls – 8km up to these 3 well hidden falls with good harbour views on the way and mature garden trees marking an old farmhouse site and jetty – bring lunch.

Wed 30 May
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Mussel Rock (bring boat fare) – 8km from the limestone stacks along the beach and over huge 60m high dunes – bring lunch.

Wed 6 June
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Cogswell Valley – 4km and 140m up and down on a new walk in the hills north of the divi on an area to be restored to bush – bring lunch.

Wed 13 June
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Hamilton River – bring lunch to explore the gullies and riverside tracks, which largely avoid the 160,000 who live around them – bring lunch.

Wed 20 June
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Paritata Peninsula (bring lunch and boat fare) – the best views of the harbour are from the centre on this 10km walk at the end of the peninsula and a look at the remains of an old minesweeper.

Wed 27 June
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Kaiwhenua – see Whale Bay and where our organic food comes from, then climb through nikau palm and gnarled old puriri bush part way up Karioi to an old pa site. About 5km.

Wed 4 July
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Toreparu – about a 4km walk just north of Aotea to look at a waterfall beside a wall of basalt columns and bring lunch to eat beside the second largest coastal wetland in North Island.

Wed 11 July
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Hamilton Zoo – a lot of paths to walk around and a choice of food to eat while looking at the animals.

Wed 18 July
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – Karangahake Gorge – almost 2 hours to drive, but a tunnel to walk through, a rushing river and remains of gold mining – bring lunch.

Wed 25 July
Raglan Ramblers 9am from Wainui Rd car park next to the fire station – The southern slopes of Karioi – a new walk up a challenging valley to a well-hidden waterfall in the bush below Karioi summit – bring lunch.
