Te Toto Lower Gorge Track

The Te Toto coast has a long and diverse history, from destructive volcanoes to ancient Maori settlement. Geologists can trace the history of the Gorge back an incredible 2.7 million years. At present the track is not fully formed but it is marked from the Te Toto Gorge car park to the bottom of the gorge. A steep descent marks the start of the walk but the terrain flattens out closer to the coast. (more…)

Mt. Karioi Summit tracks

Take a trek to the summit of Raglan’s Sleeping Lady – Mount Karioi. The views from the top are spectacular; on a clear day you can see Mt Taranaki, Pureora, Maungamangero, Te Aroha, Pirongia and Maungatautari. There are two tracks to the summit meaning you can choose to make a crossing or do a return trip either side. If you decide to make the crossing you will need to arrange your own transport to meet you at the other side. (more…)

Bryant Memorial Walk

Take a wander through shady coastal forest from the Bryant Home Crusade Bible camp to Ngarunui Beach. Enjoy the stunning views of the coast from the lookout, situated about a third of the way down. (more…)

Bridal Veil/Waireinga Falls Walk

Spectacular Bridal Veil/ Waireinga Falls is an short, easy walk from the carpark. The track is Barrier Free to the top of the falls and is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. At the top of the falls there are two good viewing platforms but it’s also well worth the trek down a steep set of stairs to the lower viewing platform. (more…)
